Elite DNA Behavioral Health is hiring a Training Specialist to join our team in the Fort Myers office. 

Summary

As a Training Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the training and development of our staff, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality care for our patients.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering training programs to new and current staff which may include training on our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) – Athena, documentation, billing and coding, and regulation changes or updates. Additionally, anyone in this position will be asked to help monitor and correct the claims of assigned providers.

The ideal candidate for this position is a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in training and development.

Essential Training Functions Include, But Are Not Limited To:

1.  Deliver engaging and effective training sessions for staff members at all levels, including therapists, APRN, PA, Psychiatrist, and support staff.

2.  Training on our EMR – Athena usage.

3.  Medical Coding training for providers and support staff.

4.  Monitor and track the success of training programs through evaluations and feedback from participants.

5.  Conduct assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.

6.  Conduct needs assessments to identify knowledge gaps and develop targeted training solutions.

7.  Review imputed billing codes for new and current providers.

8.  Tracking and reporting on medical coding corrections.

9.  Complete billing for new providers and any current providers in need of additional support.

10. Communicate with providers regarding any deficiencies in their documentation or coding.

11. Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training needs and ensure training content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with industry standards.

12. Provide ongoing support and coaching to staff members to reinforce learning and ensure proper implementation of skills acquired during training. 

13. Develop and maintain training schedules and ensure all training requirements are met within established timelines.

14. Other related duties as required.

Requirements

1.  Ability to work on deadlines and balance multiple inquiries.

6.  Excellent interpersonal skills with patients and coworkers.

7.  Ability to interact positively with others in person and through phone, e-mail, and written correspondence.

8.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

9.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

10. Well-versed in HIPAA Guidelines to ensure the protection of patient information.

11. Advanced knowledge of CPT codes and modifiers.

12. Knowledge of insurance carrier billing and reimbursement, CPT, and modifiers.

13. Certification in training and development preferred.

14. Experience in the mental health care industry.

15. Knowledge of mental health care practices and regulations.
