Job Summary:  

Elite DNA Behavioral Health is seeking to hire a full-time Medical Coder and Compliance Specialist to join our team in the Ft. Myers office.  This is an in person position for Fort Myers.  

DESCRIPTION:

At Elite DNA Behavioral Health, we rely on powerfully insightful data to ensure the delivery of excellent healthcare services, and we’re seeking an experienced medical coder to deliver this insight daily. The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of anatomical and medical terminology, as well as natural curiosity and an analytical mindset. As the coder mines and interprets patient medical records, transcriptions, test results, and other documentation, we’ll rely on them to ask questions, connect the dots, and uncover information that may be difficult to find — and to assist the compliance team throughout the course of internal and external audits and investigations. The medical coder will abide by standard protocols of the profession while using their own methods to compile the most accurate information and promote organizational growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manage high-quality, timely coding of diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS   classification systems.

· Work closely with the compliance team to assess, investigate and resolve compliance issues

Requirements

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

·Must be a certified medical coder

· Self-starter that can work independently. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Must have Professional credential for medical practices, such as CPC (Certified Professional Coder)

· Experience in using Athena a plus.

The pay range for this position is between $19-26 per hour (based on experience).
